Responsibility of Changing Diapers
Prewash cloth diapers with laundry detergent in cold water on the pre-soak cycle to remove soiling without getting stains. Then wash the load in hot water on the longest cycle with a cold-water rinse. Following are some washing options and cautions:
-Fragrance-free detergent is recommended for baby items. Add 1/2 cup of baking soda to the wash to help whiten and soften diapers ( when you add baking soda, you can use less detergent).
-You can use bleach occasionally to sanitize and whiten, but regular use will weaken the fabric. Fabric softener will reduce the diapers’ absorbency, so use it only occasionally.
